This is the Iver Johnson Model 1900 Type II, solid frame, double action revolver made in 1923. The barrel is marked with the later Type II "I.J. DOUBLE ACTION / FITCHBURG, MASS / MODEL 1900 U.S.A." In excellent condition the The metal surfaces retain virtually all 98-99% original bright nickel finish, showing light handling wear and some minor scratches with a few scattered light flecks of oxidation staining and the trigger guard retains 99% original blue. The checkered hard rubber grips with owl’s head and floral motif rate excellent Markings on the topstrap remain crisp and legible. The revolver functions properly with correct timing and tight lockup. It comes in the original hinged blue box, correctly end labeled to the gun, which rates excellent overall showing only light edge and corner wear and contains an Oilright leaflet and period cleaning brush as well an inner box label which remains very good overall.
