Webley & Scott 12 Gauge 2" game gun with 26" IC/M ejector barrels with original 2" chambers and excellent bores. Smooth concave rib with small silver front bead. Bores measure .733 on the right and .735 on the left. Choked .008 [IC] right and .015 [open Mod] left. MWT .024 on the right and .022 on the left. Webley screw grip third fastener action. 65% coverage of action and floorplate with typical British scroll which remains sharp and crisp. Action has gone silver but never brushed or buffed. 99% reblack on barrels and floorplate. Buttstock and forend both very solid and professionaly refinished with recut checkering. Forend iron has been glass bedded. 14 3/4" LOP to checkered butt. DAC-1 1/2" DAH-2 3/8" 5lb 11oz Neutral cast. Cased in a very nice English Brady canvas and leather trunk case with two keys.
This gun was made by Webley & Scott for S.R. Jeffery & Son and so marked on the barrels. It was imported by Griffin & Howe and import marked on the barrel flats. It remains in proof with original 2" chambers. Ejectors are strong and well timed. Lock up is tight. Barrels ring with a pronounced chime. These 2" guns are hard to find in proof and in good condition.
