Description:
Rare Russian SVT-38 manufactured by Tula in 1939. These were the predecessor to the more numerous SVT-40, with some 150,000 SVT-38s being made versus 1.6 million SVT-40s. Chambered in 7.62x54R with one ten round magazine. Bolt, bolt carrier, and stock are serial number matching to the receiver. The magazine and trigger guard are not matching. Stock has several cracks that have been filled with some kind of adhesive. Rifle has not been tested fired, but internal parts are fair to good condition. More pictures available upon request.
