"East India Company flintlock Brown Bess musket. Overall length is approximately 54½". The 39" round .75 caliber barrel has a good smooth bore. The barrel is bright with light staining. It has four proof marks and Hindi letters at the breech. The lock has the East India Company lion with a crown/3 to the right. The lock tail has been scrubbed. The lock and cock have a smooth brown patina. The brass furniture is very good. The stock is good with several wood repairs and no chips or cracks. The swivels and ramrod are present, finish has been added to the stock. The action functions correctly. This is a very presentable East India Company Brown Bess musket.
