"NSN, circa 1833, .69 caliber, 42"" round smooth bore barrel. U.S. Model 1816 Flintlock Musket “National Armory Bright". Harpers Ferry Arsenal. Dated 1833 on tail of lock and 1834 on breech, plus Tang. This is a Type III made from 1831-1844. This musket is in original flint not a conversion! Rare to find this third type in original flint. Cartouches on stock are perfect. There are some light dings and dents in the stock. No abuse. The numbers PX40ARA are stamped on the lower Tang off the stock. (DALLAS LOCATION)
