This action is Holland & Hollands first hammerless sidelock action gun built on the Scott & Baker patent no. 761 with many of the same features as the later climax action and predates the royal by many years.
Elegant Climax (before it had the name Climax) radius round action with intercepting sears. Rose & scroll engraved action with ornately filed top lever and gold inlaid bolted (h&h used bolted on their earlier shotguns instead of safe) the inside of the locks are highly polished and gold washed even the tumbler swivel pins are engraved.
Outstanding quality gun in a fitted oak & leather case with full set of engraved H&H accessories. Very few of these guns were built and even fewer in 20 bore. One of the finest 20 bore guns I've handled and will no doubt be a joy to use in the field or on a clays course.
