Just consigned to Jones Antiques in Cookeville TN is this magnificent assortment of Civil War battlefield relics. These fabulous pieces were unearthed many years ago from a farm that was in the midst of the Battle of Franklin. This has been in the possession of the same family for 3 generations. In respect of the family’s wishes they will remain anonymous and for privacy reasons the location of the farm (which is still in the family) will not be disclosed. The centerpiece of the collection is what we believe to be a Remington model 1858 revolver. The revolver is solid as a rock with no loose parts. It serves as an awesome reminder of what this country went through during the Civil War! As you can see there are several relics to include a rifle hammer, several bullets in various condition from totally intact to heavily impacted by battle action. There is also a trigger guard, large pieces of shrapnel from exploded bombs which is typical of a battlefield find, a US belt buckle, even a reed from a harmonica. Being totally antique this can be shipped to any postal location in the US. This would make a great shadowbox display for the mancave.
