Description:
This is a partial box, 17 rounds, of .38-50 Remington ammunition for the Hepburn rifle & a very short lived caliber introduced in 1883 with this box having 245 grain lead bullets. The two piece buff box is in fair to good condition with a near excellent cartridge cut on the top side label having overall age soiling, flaking and older tape repairs on the outside with about a third of the bottom paper missing and tape covered. The cartridges are in excellent condition head stamped "U.M.C. 38-50" with "S" and "H" on either side.
