Price Reduced...Another great item from Gainesville Pawn! Up for sale is a Chief AJ Ruger 10/22 rifle. Ruger deluxe 10/22 Chief AJ edition tuned and test fired by the Cheif himself. Very rare only a few hundred made.The Chief was quite the Ariel target shooter. He was excellent with a bow shooting flying targets out of the air. He was quite the man and held records in body building, and shooting. In 1987 at the age of 50 he shot the world record for shooting wooden blocks out of the air. With 18 Ruger 10-22 rifles he shot 40,060 consecutive 2 1/2 square pine targets out or the air. It took the Chief 8 14 hour days to shoot the targets. While holding his Ruger 10-22 in his left hand he would toss the block into the air with his right hand and shoot it before it hit the ground. I might could hit a few like that with a scattergun but with a 22 is quite a feat.
Ruger took notice of Chief A. J. And his talents with their 10-22 rifle. They commissioned him to enhance a couple of limited run 10-22's in the 80's. They had Chief AJ inscribed into the receiver. Ruger built a plain version and a fancier version. Ruger built the guns then The Chief tuned them and shot test targets. The one I have has a signed point of impact target and a 10 shot one hole target that measures less than a dime. Please see photos.*Please be aware that all items are sold “AS IS”.
