Description:
Many years ago I built Thompson Center Custom Gunstocks and Grip sets for G1/G2 Contenders and the Encore.  These five pieces are from my personal collection I built for my Encore frames.  The actions are bedded with Acrasteel - the action bolts are supported by aluminum pillars that are Acrasteel bedded into the grip areas for strength and protection from cracking due to recoil.  The appropriate length action screw is included with both buttstocks. The wood is AAAA Exhibition Grade Claro Walnut in crotch flame figure - $1000 blanks.
The low recoil Classic stock has Gabon Ebony wings inlaid into the handle with an ivory diamond inlaid into the Gabon Ebony grip cap.  The high recoil Thumbhole stock has a LimbSaver recoil pad - the Gabon Ebony grip cap has a Bloodwood liner and diamond inlay.  Both buttstocks have a palm swell and cast off.  The three matching forends have Gabon Ebony forend tips - the small forend is for 20 gauge rifled barrels, the middle forend is for rifled bull barrels, and the bottom forend is for muzzle loader barrels.  The muzzleloader forend has a Gabon Ebony/Bloodwood inlay on both sides.  I only shot .22LR bullets with the Classic buttstock - I only shot 20 gauge sabots out of the Thumbhole stock.  I killed countless squirrels with the Classic and three deer with the Thumbhole 20 gauge barrel - I never mounted or used the muzzleloader forend.  Never had the heart to hide all the wood figure with checkering.  The finish is however many coats of hand rubbed Truoil it took to fill the grains in each piece.  There are no cracks, chips, scratches or dents in these pieces - there are a few handling marks so if you are OCD on perfection, send them back to me and I’ll make them perfect for $85/hour shop time plus return shipping/insurance.  Better do it quickly - I'm 76 years old and this cowboy is going out to pasture soon.  I accept personal checks, bank checks, USPS money orders.  Buyer pays actual shipping/insurance costs.
