"NSN, circa early 1800's, .68 caliber, 36"" round pinned barrel. Barrel and other iron parts are a brown/grey patina with moderate oxidation visible, mostly around the breech and bolster area. Musket has been converted to percussion from flintlock, the nipple is damaged from use. Stock looks to have been lightly sanded some time ago, expected nicks, dings and mars are visible. Lock holds at full cock only. Majority of the Wheeler guns made it to Native hands through the Old Northwest Company of Montreal. AntiqueÂ
