Synopsis: Waffenfabrik Bern, 1924, Swiss Military Luger, Holster Description: Standard configuration Bern 1924 Luger with 4.75” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and fixed “V” notch rear sight. Blank chamber. Middle link with WAFFENFABRIK BERN. Inspection marking on left side of receiver. “P” release on front of frame, dated “46”. Full serial number under barrel and forward frame with the last two-three digits under the sideplate, barrel extension, on all three components of the toggle, trigger, and each of the grips. Scattered Swiss crosses in usual locations. Major components are rust blued with strawed take down lever, trigger, magazine release, and ejector. Original checkered grips with prominent border. Correct magazine with wood plug numbered “22”. Holster dated “27” and strap dated “39” with added magazine pouch (spare magazine not present). Condition: VG/EXC original rust blue with holster wear and thinning as one might expect from a lightly holstered pistol during military use. Comparable condition small parts, the strawing on the trigger and magazine button arguably enhanced. Comparable grips with sharp checkering and a few handling marks. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holster with intact stitching.
