32474- ENGRAVED ORIGINAL COLT 3RD MODEL .44 CAL. PERCUSSION DRAGOON REVOLVER CA. 1851. Six-shot with 7 ½” barrel with “ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY” barrel address. An original as restored and custom engraved in the modern era in the factory original style of Colt’s famous engraver Gustav Young famous for his dramatic floral scroll and wolf motifs on the sides of the hammers. Restored color case hardening and blue in the factory original manner and cylinder scene redone to perfection. Grips added at the time of restoration circa 1950’s-60’s. Beautifully done looking quite original overall. $8700.
