Colt. Model Lighting. Large Frame Pump Action Rifle. Cal. 40-60-260 WCF. 28" round barrel. Manufactured 1891.
This rifle is in fine overall condition. The barrel and tube are a smooth mixing of blue with brown patina with razor
sharp barrel legends. Has German silver blade front sight and the original sporting rear sight. Frame retains
15-20% of the original high polish blue with the balance a blue-brown patina to perfectly match the barrel and magazine.
Checkered walnut forend is in excellent condition. Stock has some slight dings but is in excellent condition as well.
The bore is very good and exhibits strong sharp rifling, and the action is flawless. These big bore Colt lightings are
getting very hard to find, especially in this condition. A nice original large frame Lighting. Serial # 5333.
