Ordered for the Spanish Duke of Alba in 1903 and completed in 1906.

Highly figured new stock and forend done in the UK by Michael Lingard
Purdey Letter in pictures

The order for this gun was through well known Spanish gun agent Guinard who supplied many guns to noble families and well known pigeon shooters. This gun was more than likely used at all the famous pigeon shoots all over Europe as the Duke of Alba was a close friend of the King of Spain.

Very nice condition Edwardian era Purdey pigeon gun that would make a great helice/clays/driven game gun.
