Description:
PRICE REDUCED! This Parker-Hale 12ga sxs shotgun was made by Webley & Scott sometime between 1936 and 1954, based on proof marks. It appears to be mostly original, except the chambers have been lengthened to 2-3/4”, and the stock has been refinished. It has typical W & S deep acanthus scroll engraving on all surfaces. The 28-1/4” chopper-lump barrels are unblemished, have mirror bores, has a traditional game rib, and ring like chimes. The 14” stock has a checkered wood butt, has a vacant initial oval, and shows normal wear with a few dings. The splinter forearm sports an ebony insert and an engraved Deeley latch. The top lever is well to the right, and the gun balances about 1” ahead of the hinge pin. Overall, this is a very nice gun.
