Description:
This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .38-72 ammunition manufactured by Winchester with 275 grain metal patched bullets. Developed specifically for the Model 1895 Winchester the cartridge was never very popular and this green labeled, round corner example was typical of the smokeless boxes sold until 1915. In very good condition the box shows older tape repairs to the bottom with overall flaking and rub wear on the top and side labels with some age soiling. The cartridges are in excellent condition. The original reloading paper insert is present.
