Dakota 76 Safari .458 Lott. Serial 0889-3 has a 23-inch barrel (.760 muzzle diameter, ramp front sight with large white bead, banded sling swivel stud, island rear sight base with windage-adjustable express leaf). Features include a full-length claw extractor for true controlled round feeding and extraction, three-position safety, integrated bolt release lever and a drop box magazine. Talley bases are attached and the metal wears a matte black Cerakote finish. STOCK: Shaped to proper dimensions from a AA-grade English blank, appointments include a satin finish, ebony forend tip, 24 lines-per-inch wrap checkering, double crossbolts, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, steel grip cap, inletted sling swivel stud and a logo recoil pad. CAPACITY: Five rounds (four plus one). The extractor “snaps over” single fed rounds. Feeding/extraction/ejection with Federal softs and solids is flawless. Hornady solids do not feed off the right side due to the length and shape of that particular bullet. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.6 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.5 inches. CONDITION: The bore is pristine. Trigger pull is crisp. Metal and wood finishes are each at least 95 percent. The price is firm and layaway is available. $6,750 plus shipping.
