The Colt Single Action Army is a single-action revolver. It was designed for the U.S. government service revolver trials of 1872 by Colt and was adopted as the standard-issued revolver of the U.S. Army from 1873 to 1892. This first generation model dates to 1900. A little over 50,500 were produced in .38 WCF. This one seems to function as it should. It's lost all of it's finish but there is no rust or pitting. .38 WCF
