Description:
Winchester Model 61 Magnum in 100% overall condition. Metal engraving believed to have been done by Angelo but without signature, as was his custom when emulating a period correct, high grade factory duplication, such as he did on some Winchester 1895s. Silver inlaid squirrel and rabbit surrounded by floral engraving on each side of receiver. The stock is 3X walnut and is carved and checkered with an oak leaf pattern, the likes of which is difficult if not impossible to find today. The only work I’ve seen of comparable workmanship was done by the engraver John Durkin while working for Winchester. Serial #333451. Price is $5,500 or reasonable offer, plus shipping."
