Manufactured in 1931, 28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the ribs engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. The toplevers are engraved '1' and '2', removable striker discs, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/8in. stocks, weight 6lb.1oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 2oz. (No.2), in a brass-cornered oak and leather case with canvas outer cover.
