Description:
The A400 Xtreme Plus is the next step in the evolution of the world's softest shooting waterfowl shotgun. Beretta has incorporated technology developed for competition shooting into the premier waterfowl shotgun on the market.
Barrel
The A400 Xtreme Plus comes equipped with Steelium Plus barrel and with the OptimaChoke HP system. The Steelium Plus barrel is a cold hammer forged, tri-alloy steel barrel with extended 14” Forcing Cones and a 3 1/2” chamber. The barrel is topped with a 7x7 stepped rib and steel mid bead for a wider, clearer sight picture.
Receiver
The receiver is black anodized 7075-T651 Aluminum alloy for lightweight strength and durability. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped to accept a picatinny rail. The loading port has been expanded and beveled to make loading quicker and easier, especially with gloves on.
Gas System
The A400 Xtreme Plus features Beretta’s Blink gas-operating system and rotating bolt head allowing it to smoothly fire 4 shots in less than a second.
Kick Off
The new Kick-Off Plus system uses a two dampener systems to effectively mitigate first recoil peak, which reduces perceived recoil by up to 40%. A third dampener located in the stock bolt reduces the second recoil peak, which aids in keeping the shotgun muzzle flat. For added comfort, a Soft Comb pad has been added to be gentle against the cheek, while Comfort Grip is added on the pistol grip and forend for improved grip in inclement weather.
