This nice shotgun is from a private collection accumulated over a lifetime of collecting.
This 1969 Winchester Model 88 chambered in .243 Winchester is a classic lever-action rifle with a 22" barrel and no barrel band. The gun is in overall great condition with some honest wear from use. The stock shows handling marks typical for its age, and the barrel has slight wear along with some light pitting near the muzzle. However, the action is smooth, and the bore is excellent with strong rifling.The rifle retains its original detachable 4-round magazine and is a solid example of this sought after model with basketweave impressed checkering. There is a rub mark on the top of the barrel just in front of the stock. Please look at the pictures closely because I tied to be as accurate as possible depicting the wear marks on the gun.
