Synopsis: French Unique, Model 17, WWII German Issue, Matching Description: A nice all original Unique model 17 pistol, cal 7.65, made in France under German occupation. This single action pistol has a fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide referencing caliber, 9 shots, and manufacturer address. Left side of frame with the F/S safety reference. Right side of frame marked with the serial number "55190" over the waffenamt acceptance E/WaA251. Disassembly shows all major components matched to the assembly number "683". Fitted with the original grips referencing caliber and magazine capacity. Lanyard ring missing. Complete with two original magazines each with two indicator slots and unmarked floorplate. Condition: VG with general fading and sharp edge wear as befitting a military pistol that has seen moderate use. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics.
