This is an amazing Colt Single Action Army shipped in 1919 to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago. The details are spelled-out on the enclosed factory letter which confirms the factory engraving, pearl grips, no ejector, and silver finish.
Chambered in .45 lc. with a 4 5/8" barrel this is a very uniquely configured special ordered SAA.
Sometime in the last 105 years this revolver was nickel plated, most likely because the original silver was not properly kept-up.
This is the first time this rare SAA has been offered for sale in more than 40 years.
