Description:
First generation A grade that has some issues but retains a lot of good too. It is a factory straight stock with original 30” Full/ Full barrels marked #1 weight. The barrels weigh 3lbs 12oz! They have been rust blued and look very nice. Tight ribs, original bores that are very clean, tons of wall thickness, and original choke tapers exceeding 4” in length. The stock is in very nice freshened condition. No cracks. Wood to metal fit is nice. As can be seen in the last two pics, the inside has been cleaned and properly lubed. The inside of the stock is extremely nice! No glass or soft wood. The back tang screw tightens as it should. The lever is left of center indicating the gun’s rotary bolt could use attention, but it is tight with the forend off and locks up with that early distinct Fox sound and feel. It has cosmetic remnants of old pitting on top of the receiver but nothing that affects function. In short, this is a fine shooter as is or could be used for parts. Fox guys know the value of #1 weight barrels with original tight chokes and a factory straight grip trigger guard. $40 shipping
