Early Turner Kirkland Flintlock .45 cal.
Description:
Turner Kirkland, Union Tenn, stamped on top of the barrel and was most likely made pre-Dixie Gun Works, with a fully blued 40" octagnal barrel with a super clean, shiny rifled bore, not sure of the twist rate but I believe a 1 in 48". Action works very well and is very accurate. The America cherry stock is clean with no issues , except for a very few light field handling dings. The color case hardened lock has a running fox engraved on it. The furniture is brass, and comes with an oak ram-rod and a brss tip. Overall fit and finish is very fine for a rare gun made by Turner Kirkland in .45 cal. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
