Description:
This exquisite work of art is a continuation of Angelo Bee's desire to improve upon the “Superluxe” grade that was produced by the Fabrique National in Herstal, Belgium where he was a factory engraver from 1957 to 1975. His previous bouquet” gun effort was categorized as “Ultraluxe”. He would consider this one a “Platinum Edition” of the “Ultraluxe” grade. Notable features of this gun include multi-color 24 carat gold inlays, a gold border around the receiver, a double ribbed ventilated rib, the head of a duck chiseled in the top lever, filed receiver cheeks, a long tang trigger guard and a gold-plated trigger. All the inlays are surrounded with exquisite fine English scroll throughout the metal surfaces of this beautiful gun. The stock is a gorgeous special-order walnut from Belgium that features a round knob pistol grip, tear drop carving, butt plate checkering and a Schnabel fore end. The engraving consists of a bouquet of flowers in gold inlays on both sides of the receiver in the middle and other flowers forward of the center and two bouquets of flowers on the bottom of the receiver. The trigger guard has a gold inlaid flower. The trigger tang has a flower and “1 of 1” inlaid in gold. The highlight of this gorgeous gun is the gold inlaid flower and dove on the top lever with a chiseled duck’s head. When you look at the duck, you will see that the eye is in two-color gold. The gun has a stunning grey finish that Angelo Bee did himself. The barrel was blued by Eubanks Gunsmithing. This gun is autographed with “ABee” and a bee symbol on the left side of the receiver in the bottom right area near the stock and “ABee” on the opposite side. NRA Grade: Excellent.
