Description:
Serial #2869, .22 RF (black powder), 2 3/8 inch barrel with a very fine bore with strong rifling and very light roughness. This is the Colt Open Top Pocket Model Revolver manufactured in 1871, the first year of production. In excellent condition the metal surfaces retain about 80-85% of the original nickel finish with flaking on the frame and cylinder but mostly intact on the barrel with excellent markings. The walnut grips are solid with scattered mild contusions and light use marks. It functions well mechanically with proper indexing and locks up tight with a crisp trigger.
