Offered is an excellent Remington nickel derringer with pearl grips and chambered in the .41 Rimfire cartridge. It is mechanically perfect and the nickel finish is excellent but does have a few small spots on the nickel. The pearl grips are free from cracks and chips. There are no cracks in the hinge area and the bore is perfect. Included is a Hide-A-Way book storage that holds the gun and six cartridges. Also included is a vintage box of Remington cartridges and a carved leather holster. The Remington Derringer is one of the most recognized firearms in the world. It was manufactured from 1866-1935 and was one of the most successful handguns ever produced. The Model 95 Double Derringer was designed by William Elliot of Remington, who had previously designed a whole series of popular and successful pocket pistols and derringers for the firm. The Model 95 was unique in that it provided the “big bore” punch of the .41 rimfire cartridge in a very compact package, and offered the user two shots without a reload. The These were often portrayed in many of the old west movies and were often seen in conjunction with the riverboat gambler as the pistol is small and easily concealed in a vest pocket.This is your chance to own a collectible piece of American history. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $65 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer).
