One of the last of the great ones (1962)...and somewhat rare in this configuration. The are known alternately as 99 M (Monte Carlo Comb giving it a somewhat more modern look and dearture at the time from the older look but handsome while retaining the correct factory hand checkering (far more interesting and attaractive than the later press checkered variations) engine turned bolt (damacented), case colored lever, far more handy tang safety, cartridge counter and cocking indicator... all refecting the brilliance of Arther Savage. The M or DL is somehwat unique with its 24" barrel and monte carlo comb. Factory Drilled and tapped and a bonus...this comes with swing away rings...shown in pics..allows for the scope to swing out of the way should it become fogged, or with snow so that the open sights may be accessed and then it closes back in place without changiing poring of impact.
