Description:
This is a British India Pattern Brown Bess Bayonet socket bayonet for the Brown Bess musket used during the Napoleonic Wars of 1793 - 1815. John Gill was a contractor for the British Army who worked from 1808 - 1828. The bayonet has a blade length of 16 inches with signs of light corrosion, nearly no surface oxidation and an overall length of 20.75 inches. The bayonet is in excellent overall condition, very nice original bayonet.
