My lovely 1927 James Howe (of Griffin & Howe fame) original in 30/06. Springfield action. Beautiful stock. And it's a stone cold killer. This gun loves Remington's 220 grainers. Yes it's a curio/relic, but it also is an accurate hunting machine. No scope. No problem! I've taken several whitetail and hogs with this without fail. It works as good as it did when it rolled out of Howe's shop ninety-eight years ago. It is also featured in Mike Petrov's writings on Custom Gunmakers of the 20th Century.
