Fair condition original Civil War Sharps New Model 1859 new model saddle ring cavalry carbine with patch box in .52 percussion caliber with good marking's. Mechanically functions fine, lever lockup is somewhat loose. Clear manufacturing markings on metal. Metal has brown patina. Barrel has two tiny grind marks. Bore is good, a little dark with strong rifling. Stock shows lots of wear and handling marks. Forend has a large piece missing, likely battlefield damage. Worn smooth after lots of saddle wear see pictures. This rifle saw lots of use but is still a great representative Sharps carbine with lots of history! Rear sight slider is missing. A good representative example of a classic Civil War Sharps Carbine for an affordable price. No FFL required. $50 for shipping. Can send more pictures on request.
