Original – Half Stock – 45 Cal – Percussion – Maker Unknown – Stk# P-20-92
This original .45 caliber percussion rifle has a 15/16" x 29" browned octagon barrel and is mounted with fixed sights. The bore is frosted throughout but has strong rifling. The P grade Walnut stock is mounted with a mix of brass and German silver furniture and a poured pewter nose cap. It has light scattered usage marks. The percussion lock, which has been converted from flint, is activated by a single trigger. Faint engraving can be seen on the lock plate. Please Note: There is an old repair in the top of the lock mortice, a chip of wood missing at the rear of the lock plate, a crack by the lock bolt and wood replaced on the left side of the barrel channel by the nose cap. Length of pull is 13- 3/8", overall length is 44”, and weight is 7.4 lbs. Good wood to metal fit. Condition: Good. Maker Unknown
