The wood is checkerd with a Remington Pad.The barrel is 26" without sights but the receiver is fitted with mounts and rings to accomodate a scope of your choice.The bore is clean and shiny with great rifling. THe bolt is jeweled and of push feed design with a knurled knob. The gun is about Perfect with a few minor marks in the wood you really have to look for ! !
