This piece honors the contributions of American frontiersmen towards the settling of the nation. As such, the French greyed receiver is machine engraved with representations of North American wildlife, scrollwork, and vignettes of frontier life while the remainder of the metal is hot blued for a striking contrast. The attractively figured walnut furniture is appointed with a French greyed forend cap, a stock medallion, a curved steel buttplate, and is checkered with spade border insets.
