NICK DALPORTO 304-550-2255 For sale today we are offering up an absolutely outstanding example of a SPECIAL ORDER ONLY 1962 Browning High Power EXHIBITION GRADE bolt action rifle chambered in .270 Winchester with a 22” barrel. This factory master engraved rifle features two gold inlaid and raised game scenes, gold scrolls & accents, and a silver plated baseplate with knock your eyes out exhibition grade SALT FREE wood and a very nice bore. The first game scene is a male lion with gorgeous mane laying in the plains on the left side of the receiver and the second game scene is a gold inlaid and raised Leopard stalking in a tree, on top of the silver plated baseplate. This rifle is absolutely magnificent from head to toe. These rifles were special/custom order ONLY and only a handful of them were made in total. This is the earliest known example that I have found. The last one of these that sold was estimated between 15-20k and it was in .222 Remington. Most of these rifles were in smaller calibers and finding one that’s in a larger caliber such as .270 Winchester is a rarity on its own. Besides minor knicks and dings in the wood, there is nothing to complain about on this rifle Price: $14,500.00 Curio/Relic: Yes Rifle Caliber: .270 Winchester Manufacturer: Browning Model: High Power Exhibition Grade Barrel Length: 24 Condition: 8.5/10 Manufacture Date: 1962 |
