Description:
This unique Saddle Ring Trapper Carbine is in exception near new conditon. First made in 1982 right here in ct 45 mins from our location NOT overseas. It is the handiest little rifle one could want. With a 16" barrle, overall lenght of only about 34" and weight 5 3/4 lbs!!!!!, it is perfect for hunting in thick cover, a tree stand or a truck gun. Chambered in 32 Win Sp. With modern Lever Evolution Ammo it will handle most anything one is likley to run into in most parts of the Country. Although thought of balistically more or less equivalent to its sister cartridge a recent onl line test we reviewed found it to actually superior to the 30 30. This model is distinguishe by the Cowboy theme engraving, saddle ring and big loop lever popularized in a John Wayne movie and i think the Rifeman (from memory) One owner recenlty described the practical use of the big loop lever when using gloves.
There are two small areas where the factory blue did not take perfectly...low down on the right side of the receiver and on the upper tang...While most would not object to these we want you to be aware of them....the gun is otherwise about exactly like new. We are not sure if its been fired except at the factory and certainly NOT been carried in the woods
