Description:
Sako L61R Finnbear Super Deluxe Grade chambered in 375 H&H Magnum with a 24.5" barrel. The left side of the receiver is marked "L61R No. 501033" with a proof mark and "RA". The left side of the barrel is marked "FINNBEAR MADE IN FINLAND", the top of the barrel is marked "SAKO / Cal. .375 Mag.". The right side rear frame is import marked "SIMPSON LTD GALESBURG IL". The underside of the bolt handle is scribed with "033". The floorplate is engraved with a silver elk's head and floral motifs. The trigger guard also has silver floral motifs. The top of the receiver has integral dovetail rails for mounting optics. The front sight is a blade with a brass bead dovetailed into a finely checkered ramped base screwed to the barrel. There is a "U" notched sliding elevator sight screwed to the rear portion of the barrel. The front sight is missing the hood. The stock features a Monte Carlo comb, cheekpiece, rosewood pistol grip cap with an oval brass inlay, rosewood forend tip, sling studs mounted front and rear and solid rubber buttpad. The stock is also carved with oak leaves borders, hand cut, diamond checkering in a gloss finish. The metal surfaces are a gloss blue finish. This is an excellent example of the Sako Presentation Class, Super Deluxe Grade rifle with a couple light, but minimal handling marks. .375 H&H Magnum
