Matched Pair of Self-defense BELT Pistols
Here we present an Engraved Matched Pair of Antique Belgian Percussion Belt Pistols, made circa the 1850s in Liege. Liege has long been a manufacturing center for the world’s arms trade. These are neat old pistols and one can easily imagine the sight of their gaping bores would certainly be a deterrent to would be scoundrels.
The overall condition is good. Both actions are strong. The bores are smooth and dark. The stocks show splits on each of the left stock flats. Both also have splits in their fore ends. One has a chip missing from behind the hammer. Nothing is loose. Each of the trigger guard tangs is cracked at the screw.
