Matching Martial Type Sidearms
Here we present a Pair of antique French Empire Military Type Pistols, made circa the 1850s in Liege. Each of these features swamped octagonal, twist pattern barrels in .60 caliber along with stocks with exaggerated pommels capped in steel. These pistols are very business-like while still having some nice engravings.
The overall condition is fair to good. Very dark patinas. One action is functional while the other needs some adjustment—the lock works outside of the gun but not when installed. The bores are smooth and quite dark. The stocks have some little stable splits but on the whole in good shape. No ramrods. A nice looking set for display.
