Description:
22 S, L, LR, 24” octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. The barrel, magazine tube and small parts retain about 97% original blue with some thinning on the magazine tube to blue-gray patina under bright direct light, scattered light handling marks, and a few small spots of wear on the top of the barrel near the breech. The lever is toning to a light gray patina with some fine speckles of light oxidation. The frame is toning to a smoky gray case-hardened patina with some vibrant colors remaining in the protected areas. The barrel and frame markings are crisp with the upper tang showing the desirable Marlin six-pointed star. The smooth walnut pistolgrip buttstock and forend very good with some areas of finish wear, multiple cracks around the toe of the buttstock, and some light handling marks. The Marlin “bullseye” is intact on the toe line showing a touch of added finish. The barrel is sighted with a Lyman globe front with post insert, the rear sight dovetail is filled with a slot blank, and a tang sight without aperture insert is at the rear.
