This is a magnificent high powered Carbine. Chamberd in potent 444 mag it is litteraly capable of handing any game on the planet and easily any on this continent all in a handy fast handling 20" Carbine with a total overall lenght of only 38" With the classic look of the venerable Winchester model 94 in one variation or another made from the last part of the 1800's until present. Following several modifications this in our opinion represents the highest form of this rifle: The beefed up receiver of this seies designed to handle 307, 356, 375 Win and 444 the later being the most powerful, high degree of polish (the blue on these is the equivalent of any ever made at Winchester with deep rich lusture.) Cleverly redesigned to side eject such that a scope may be used in the conventional over the breech position and factory drilled and tapped for scope. If someone wantted to hunt Africa with a lever gun ..you could take this right out fo the box and not be undergunned in the hands of a capable shooter and its light enough to carry on a sling while fishing in big bear country and not be weighted down.
This example is in 98% condtion. They are no longer made and should likely similar to the early (lst generation Marlin 444's) continue to grow in value and be collectble.
