Winchester model 97 Trench gun. Serial number and barrel date stamp are 1944, the next to the last year for the 97 Trench.
Please notice that there is no flaming bomb proof or GHD cartouche in the stock AND the bright receiver finish. My research shows that lack of the flaming bomb proof may be due to the very late production, near the end of the war and the end of production. Whereas the lack of the GHD cartouche in the stock and the addition of the #13 stamp in the stock may very well indicate that this gun was factory refurished then sent to a National Guard unit! Every thing else is correct.
Comes with the sling and the bayonet/scabbard.
