Early 2nd Model rifle. Caliber 44-40. 24 inch octagon barrel and full length mag tube. Original sights. Excellent bore. Checkered deluxe grade wood with the correct checkering style for the 2nd Models. Rifle style buttplate. Overall gun is in excellent condition with about 75% barrel and mag blue toning somewhat. Correct English style proof marks at the breech. Receiver retains 80-90% bright vivid case colors with thumbprint dust cover. Very fine hard to find original little gun complete with a lengthy letter from George Madis describing all the features of this gun as well as a Cody Research Form. All original and complete with set trigger.
