Payment Types Accepted: Cash, Check, USPS Money Order Description: This Colt Police Positive Target Model, .22, single action / double, six-shot revolver has a high-polished blue finish; a six-inch barrel; black hard-rubber, checkered grip panels; a windage-adjustable rear sight, and a fixed pinned front site. The year of manufacture is 1913. The barrel is stamped on the left side, just forward of the frame, with POLICE (first line) and POSITIVE (second line). The “P” of POLICE extends through the second line and is actually the “P” for POSITIVE as well. In other words, one oversized “P” for both words. To the right of that and centered on the first and second line of text is “- CAL .22”. The top of the barrel is stamped “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. (first line) and PAT’D AUG 5 U1884, JUNE 5 1900, JULY 4 1905”. The rampant colt logo is perfectly stamped on the left side of the frame between the left grip panel and the cylinder release. “VP” the Colt proof mark is stamped on the left side of the frame, just to the top left of the trigger guard. The serial number 9557 is stamped on the inside of the crane and again on the frame, opposite of the crane. Both are visible when the cylinder is swung out. The overall condition of this gun is 99 percent. Not bad for a 112-year-old gun. It retains 100 percent of its original blue finish and its high-polished luster, with only a few marks. On the barrel, just forward of Police Positive, is a small blemish of some kind, probably a scratch. I cannot feel it with my finger, but I can with my fingernail. On the right side of the barrel, about half way to the muzzle is another small scratch. And just forward of that on the bottom of the barrel is another small blemish that cannot be felt, even with the fingernail. On the left side of the frame, right at the barrel is s small scratch. On the top strap a few very small dings, and on the right side of the frame, just above the trigger are a several very light, small scratches. The black hard-rubber grip panels are like new, with no wear or marks of any kind. The checkering is like new with no wear or marks of any kind. The checkering is deep ad crisp with no damage. Based on the small amount of wear and the very light cylinder-lock ring, I believe this gun has not been fired very much. There are no box, papers, or accessories with this revolver.
