Higgins, Model 36 was 1955-1957. The overall condition of this gun is 95+ percent. The blued finish on barrel is 99+ percent, with a couple tiny nicks between the magazine tube and the muzzle. The finish on the magazine but is similar, 99 percent, with one scratch on the right side, about an inch from the end of the tube. The factory-installed Weaver B6 scope is 99 percent, with a small rub at the front end of the scope on its left side. The finish on the receiver is 99 percent with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear. In fact, all metal surfaces, including that of the trigger and scope are in very excellent condition with no scratches, mars, blemishes, or other signs of wear – 100 percent. The wood stock/forend is in 98 percent. There are no signs of wear anywhere on the finish, but there are a few scattered scraps and scratches. The worst of it is on the left side and the bottom of the forend. All are visible in the photos. The butt plate, with the J.C. Higgins logo, is in excellent condition – 99 percent.
