Description:
This is the first lever action repeating shotgun made by Winchester. 30 inch fluid steel barrel with Full choke. Beautiful overall condition with about 95% barrel blue starting to turn a little brown. Receiver has vivid case color. Hard rubber buttplate with a chip out at the toe. Wood is in very nice condition with most varnish remaining and sharp checkering. Winchester Shotgun Book by Ron Stadt on page 11 shows price list for upgrades for the 1887. Only 64,855 of these were made from 1887-1901 and this one was made in 1889. This 1887 would make a great addition to your Winchester Collection.
