THIS FACTORY CARBINE HAS A FRONT SIGHT BASE THAT MEASURES 1/4" SHORTER THAN A STANDARD RIFLE FRONT SIGHT BASE, JUST HOW A CARBINE LEFT THE FACTORY. 1938 Pre-War, Pre-64 Winchester Model 71 Deluxe Carbine chambered in .348 Winchester with a 20" barrel. The rifle is an original carbine, and has been very professionally restored to like new condition. Very tight action, excellent bore, excellent bluing and wood. Factory deluxe carbine with checkering and sling swivels. Hard as heck to find a Winchester 71 Carbine.
